I had to get my skates on with these dresses, since I have a friend who was visiting the US, and willing to take them with her and post them once she'd arrived. I actually managed to make three dresses in about 3 1/2 days - a record for me! I was exhausted by the end of it, but glad to get them out in plenty of time for the First Communions, and one Confirmation at the beginning of May.

My goodness you are a whiz! These dresses are exceptional and the young ladies who receive them are doubly blessed. You have inspired me to attempt a dress for my granddaughter's confirmation in a year's time. These dressed remind me of my own confirmation dress in 1963!!! It was cotton eyelet with one sleeves, high neck and buttons down the back. Sadly it did not survive the years.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment Wendy, I can assure you I am not usually a whiz at all - rather slow and ponderous at times, but I was pleased to find out how quickly I could make these dresses when pushed! I am always glad when others are inspired to get sewing!
